I've lost interest in JPod. It's sort of like a lazy novelist struggling to live up to his reputation by cobbling together blog posts and e-mail-FWs from a stolen laptop. Oops, I just gave away the plot.

BTW the author is even more intrusive in the book, but it doesn't come off as inventive, just grasping.

On the other hand, it does have some good observations. I especially like the conversation comparing IT workers to Asperger Syndrome sufferers. Don't touch me!

Do you think Coupland is trying to carve himself a niche in literary history? Rather than write an entertaining book?
