AHA JAMES BOND!

The James Bond movies had some good theme songs. Except Living Daylights by a-ha in 1987.
To me, it sounds like a dilute version of Soldier of Fortune by Manhattan Transfer.

Living Daylights was composed by a Norwegian a-ha group member, and soundtrack composer John Barry. The group did not collaborate well with Barry, according to Wikipedia, so they put a different mix on one of their own albums. Evan Cater of Allmusic said the song was "a strong sample of Seven and the Ragged Tiger-(1983) influenced Europop..."

Soldier of Fortune was written by John Capek and Marc Jordan, and appears on the 1983 album Bodies and Souls.

Apparently Living Daylights is a big hit with a-ha fans, just not with me.
