This libertarian surfer is interesting. whakahekeheke.

This Sophie Scholl quote is a reminder, a goal, and I don't know if it can work for me:

"The real damage is done by those millions who want to ‘survive.’ ....

It’s the reductionist approach to life: if you keep it small, you’ll keep it under control. If you don’t make any noise, the bogeyman won’t find you. But it’s all an illusion, because they die too, those people who roll up their spirits into tiny little balls so as to be safe. Safe?! From what? "

And on Nature vs. Nurture, he picks a third way:

"The antidote to “nature versus nurture” thinking is to recognize the existence, and importance, of “instincts to learn”....

"For each of us, our unique genetic makeup influences, but does not determine, what we are.....

"If we are to grapple earnestly and effectively with the reality of human biology and genetics, we will need to jettison outmoded dichotomies like the traditional distinction between nature and nurture. In their place, we will need to embrace the reality of the many instincts to learn (language, music, dance, culture…) that make us human."

~ W. Tecumseh Fitch, “An Insinct to Learn” (Department of Cognitive Biology, University of Vienna)

Is it that nature and nurture are outside forces, but learning is an interior force, a self directed one? This blogger emphasizes self determination; he's libertarian.

Anyways, this blog is fun for an afternoon skim.
